Love

LOVE:

That is a word that has puzzled me for sometime.

Even throughout my adult life I have asked about the word "Love."

Is love an emotion? an action? A lie.

Is there Love in the world anymore?

Some people actually feel there is no such thing as love only hurt and disappointments.

But the bible tells us that there is such a thing as LOVE:

And this type of Love is real if we obey it thru the Spirit of God.

It tells us in I Cor., Chapter 13, 4-8 :

*Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud;

*Love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs;

*Love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.

*Love never gives up; and its faith, hope and patience never fail.

*Love is eternal.

So I had to look at these scriptures really close and I was like…oops I’m not loving right.

I mean I keep all kinds of records of arguments and my frustrations in my mind. I am quick to say I am out the door, I just can’t take it any more.

Then you calm down and say I am a Believer of the Word and what can’t I take?

A disagreement? Two people will disagree on many things, but is it worth giving up hope?

If you really look closely at the words…Love never gives up. We have to love by the Word’s standards which is with our spirit man and not the flesh. The fleshly man wants to stay in lust. He desires wrath and quick make ups.

We simply can not love out of our flesh.

The word of God says Love is happy with the truth.

Being truthful and honest in any relationship is always the best policy.

Whether you like syrup on your pancakes or like them with butter, display the truth about it and avoid a meaningless argument later.

Love has to be learned. I didn’t know that.

And you first have to come to grips with falling in love with the Lord, not for what he can give, but for who He is. He then in turn will show you how to love yourself.

Then you ask God how to love someone else.

I learned that love has to be conceived. If you conceive it in your mind, it will manifest in your heart.

The word tells us that:

"I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but If I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell."

Are you loud with your love? Love should come natural not with motive or cruel intention. Love is quiet and easy. Real Love should never snare nor trap anyone into doing anything.

"I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all the faith needed to move mountains – but if I have no LOVE, I am nothing."

Do you have the love for ALL GOD"s people? No matter what they have done or said. Not just people of color, not just the rich or the famous, but for the poor, who the bible says will be with us always. Love for the Word of God that can cut like a two-edged sword, a love for the truth that will set any captive free, love for the children who roam in the streets naked with no shame in other countries, Love for the homeless who can clam nothing in this life, but their names.

"I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned-but if I have no love, this does me no good."

Keep it if you don’t really want to give it away, that includes apologizes. If it is truly not sincere, they are wasted words. So be careful when you use the words, "I’m sorry," especially if you turn around and do the same thing in the next minute or two.

Be aware of how you love. If it is for personal gain and reward you are only fooling yourself. Real love can not be bought. Christ’s love for us paid the ultimate cost for by one man’s death everlasting life was gained to the whole world. What kind of Love is this?

This is real love. A love that can not be bottled nor manufacturer(ed ), taped or distributed for sale.

This love saves, and brings life to any dead situation it is a love that will always prevail.
